We are thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for our children. We have teamed up with Harrietsham Primary School to offer Forest School sessions.

Forest School is a child-centred, inspirational learning process that offers children regular opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment. It supports development in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Metacognitive Development & Child-led Enquiry
  • Adventurous Play & Exploration Skills
  • Confidence & Self-esteem
  • Teamwork & Problem Solving
  • Risk Management – Boundaries, Risk Taking, Safety
  • Tool Use – Using Tools & Equipment Safely
  • Shelter Building & Knots
  • Fire Craft & Fire Safety
  • Environmental Awareness, Science & Nature Knowledge
  • Creative Projects – Art & Design Skills
  • Cooking
  • Physical Development & Healthy Lifestyles
  • Planting & Growing
  • Global Citizenship & Understanding of the World

To ensure your child can fully enjoy and participate in Forest School, they will need:

  • Waterproof clothing (we recommend a puddle suit)
  • Wellies (should be kept in school at all times)
  • Old, warm clothes that can get muddy and messy

We will send out consent forms when it is time for your child's class.
